What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle, healing sharing of the energy and essential life force that flows through all things. It stimulates the body’s natural flow of energy and its ability to heal itself.

I’ve been helping people experience the gentle healing of Reiki since 2001. Reiki is very effective for encouraging deep relaxation, inner peace and wellbeing. By combining simple mindfulness techniques with Reiki, I’ll help you deepen your experience and get the most out of this health-boosting, calming therapy.

As well as reducing stress and anxiety, Mindful Reiki can help you release unhelpful thoughts, beliefs and habits that drain your energy.

What to expect during a session

Everyone is different, so I adapt each session to meet your individual needs. In general, though, you can expect:

  • The opportunity to relax, fully clothed on a treatment table
  • A gentle hands-on touch, working systematically down the body
  • A warm, comforting sensation that allows you to fully release into the present moment experience
  • A chance to truly nourish yourself for a while
  • The opportunity to talk and share afterwards if you choose to do so.

Don’t be surprised if you relax so much, you fall asleep!

Reiki sharing takes place in a cosy therapy room in Berwick, Northumberland.

A note on current precautions: I’m asking Reiki clients to take a lateral flow test before attending a session and will do so myself so we can check we’re both clear of COVID before you receive Reiki healing.

Cost

£30 per session (approximately 1 hour)

The length of time taken for a session can vary, depending on your individual needs, and may be slightly longer or shorter than 60 minutes.

Learn how to share Reiki with others

As a Reiki Master, I can teach you how to share Reiki.

Two-day, Level 1 courses run over a weekend and are suitable for complete beginners.

What happens in a Level 1 Reiki course?

  • You’ll learn the history and theory of Reiki
  • I’ll guide you through the Level 1 attunement process
  • You’ll have supervised practical time to learn the hand positions and build your confidence so you can share Reiki with friends and family.

Group sizes are limited to 4 people, allowing plenty of time for questions and sharing.

You’ll receive a Reiki reference manual for use after your course.

£215 (includes lunch and refreshments on both days)

Venue and dates

Weekend courses take place at Broomhouse Academy of Change, 10 miles from Berwick upon Tweed. Bed and breakfast is available at the venue, at extra cost.
